The 26-year-old has played once this season, in the Barclays Premier League opener at Crystal Palace, and missed 11 matches since due to a foot injury.
Now England international Lennon has returned to training during the international break and could be fit to play Aston Villa on October 20.
"I'm extremely happy," Villas-Boas said."It's been a long time out for a player of Aaron's importance and the team is delighted with his return."He's proved year after year how important he is for us and to have him back is a major plus."
On the prospect of Lennon featuring at Villa Park, the Portuguese added: "Let's see how he works on the international break.
